Arlene Kaspik attended her first GCA caller school in 2006 in Anaheim, California. When she returned to Chicago she was asked to be the class assistant for the Chi-Town Squares beginner class, a position she held for several years. Since then she has regularly taught traditional classes as well as Blast classes for Chi-Town Squares, Glenview Squares, Naper Squares. She also calls dances and party nights for groups in the greater Chicago Metropolitan Area as well as a number of groups outside the state of Illinois. Since 2017 she has served on the founding board of the Chicago Caller School and has served as a TA for that school as well as the 2018 GCA Caller School. The Chicago Caller School is unique in that it provides workshops throughout the year. Arlene has presented workshops on singing calls, teaching and dance parties as well as caller school sessions on modules, unique concerns of women callers, and how to prepare a singing call.
